Researchers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering have found an explanation for why some lung cancers stop responding to the drugs erlotinib (Tarceva) and gefitinib (Iressa). This discovery may lead to the development of new therapies to use when these agents stop working.

\nFree Head and Neck Cancer Screenings <\/p>\n
Free head and neck cancer screenings will be held Friday, April 15, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. No appointment is necessary. The screening will include a ten-minute exam by doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering to look for signs of head and neck cancer. Smoking cessation counseling and advice on cancer preventive diets will also be provided. <\/p>\n
